Green Beans Almondine
12 oz fresh snipped green beans
1 cup slivered almonds
3 cloves garlic
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp olive oil
handful of fresh parsley leaves
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
01) Heat a large sauce pan on medium with olive oil and chopped garlic cloves. When it becomes fragrant, add the slivered almonds and butter. Toast for about 3-5 mins until lightly brown. Stir occasionally.
02) Wash and drain the green beans. Add to the pan. Cover with a lid for about 2 mins. Then add in the water and let it steam for another 5-7 mins, til it turns bright green. Keep stirring to evenly coat the green beans.
03) Add in the pepper and salt, stir everything together.
04) Garnish with parsley leaves and fresh parmesan cheese. Serve Immediately.
